Over 14 and a half years Professional Experience in Game Art. Focusing mainly in Background and Layout such as Modelling, Lighting, Materials, layout planning ect. 12 and a half years as a lead artist has also given me a solid grasp on long term and short term scheduling and project planning as well as team building. Very comfortable and experienced with the Technical side of game development with a solid focus on artistic quality and the development of that skill set.
Senior Lead Artist Responsibilities
- Creating and Maintaining departmental deliverables for the entirety of project. - Managing average team sizes between 8-12 team members. - Hiring and training of new team members and integrating them into suitable positions within the department. - Individual Guidance, Mentoring and Team development focusing on technical and artistic growth of Team Mates. - Creating and conducting Performance reviews of the department’s team members. - Meeting with Directors and Producers to Discuss and Maintain Vision of overall Project. -Meeting with Engine and Tools Technical directors to assist in development of Department based Tool sets and Pertinent Engine development. - Detect and trouble shoot Current technical Issues as well Foreseeing plausible upcoming issues with performance, memory, asset overhead ect. - Creating visual Watermark art to help crystalize visual goals of game style, detail level, colour and lighting goals of the levels in general. - Create Post Mordem reviews of each project and suggest improvements for projects short comings and pitfalls.
